Gaston County Schools

GASTON, NC -- Gaston County Schools, located just west of Charlotte, NC, is moving towards an implementation of Google Apps for Education this upcoming school year.  The school district has over 32,000 students and 4,000+ employees they will be introducing to Google Apps for EDU.  Debbie Core, Chief Technology Officer, brought me in to help their technology trainers understand the ins and outs of Google Apps as well as consult with them on the integration of each App for students and teachers.  The technology trainers for the district are very saavy and took off running, as they immediately knew the impact Google Apps for Education will make on the teaching and learning going on in Gaston County Schools.  I was encouraged by  several conversations about  the whole implementation timeline and processes needed to make it a success.I look forward to our next training session with the Pinnacle Teachers in August.
